4/K Performance Horses

Trout Creek Ranch has a well-established western performance horse program. With over 25 years of experience breeding American Quarter Horses and a professional training program in place for over 15 years, we specialize in cutting horses while also producing rope, barrel, and ranch versatility horses. We believe horses should be broke and trained with a foundation that allows them to excel at any job they undertake in life. Our horses are versatile individuals, capable of transitioning from the cutting pen to roping and doctoring calves or riding out in the mountains.

At Trout Creek, we take great pride in the care of our remarkable equine athletes. From a science-based feed program to the use of the best and most advanced veterinary care available, we ensure that our horses receive the highest standard of care. We understand that true athleticism goes beyond just training, so it is our goal to prioritize the total mind and body health of every horse in our program. We strive to make each horse as athletic, safe, sound, and happy as possible.

It all begins with a cutting horse.

TCR’s horses have a cutting horse foundation. Whether they continue to compete in the show pen for a long time or age out quickly for other jobs, we require a high level of excellence from our horses.

Many of TCR’s horses go on to be performance horses for others too, both in and out of the cutting pen. The 4/k brand is worn by many money earning cutters, working cow horse (both in the open and non-pro), and pro rodeo money earners.

Rodeo Capital of the World!
